In 1987, I graduated from West Monroe High School.  After working many years as a school secretary, I was able to fulfill a life long dream of teaching.  I attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe and graduated in 2013.  

I graduated with my bachelors degree in Elementary Education.  Since I had such fond memories of my kindergarten teacher, I decided to get certified in Early Childhood Education.  My certificate allows me to teach grades PreK-3 thru fifth grade.  

Hi! My name is Mrs. Sims, and I am your child’s Second grade teacher!  This will be my 10^th year teaching, and my 9^th year at Woodlawn Elementary.  Before earning my teaching degree, I was a school secretary for 11 years. I love teaching and spending time with all the littles!!  They love unconditionally and want to learn  so much!!
